VPK -- Lithia, FL.

Serving Riverview, Brandon, Plant City, Fishhawk & The Tampa Bay Area

Florida was one of the first states in the country to offer free prekindergarten for all 4-year-olds regardless of family income. The Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program or VPK, prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development.

VPK is a significant period where children begin to develop independence, initiate decision making, early literacy, numeration skills along with the desire to learn and to relate to others. What younger children learn in their VPK year will make a major impact on successful learning in school.

As children explore and develop relationships they build an understanding of learning what causes certain feelings and realize that others may react differently to the same situations. Because of this children begin to further progress in more complex social interactions such as joining in organized group play.  The Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program or VPK, is a free prekindergarten program for 4-year-olds who reside in Florida and were born on or before Sept. 1 each year.

We have developed the Magic Kinder Preschool voluntary pre-kindergarten (VPK) program to help your child thrive. Our convenient location in Fishhawk, which lies within Lithia, Fl. has programs with small class sizes, flexible schedules, and uses the accredited Funnydaffer Curriculum.

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program – In Fishhawk

Magic Kinder Preschool’s accredited VPK program exceeds the standards set by the State of Florida, and our graduates have a 100% readiness rate for kindergarten and beyond. Our VPK program is designed to help children to develop the skills they need to become good readers and successful students. It includes high literacy standards, strict accountability, substantial instruction periods & qualified teachers.

In addition to teaching the child valuable academic skills, VPK helps children become familiar with the classroom setting. They learn how to sit and listen quietly at the appropriate time, how to raise their hands and wait their turn before talking, and how to follow the teacher’s directions. Learning these skills in VPK helps them be better prepared for kindergarten. While the main focus of our pre-kindergarten program is learning and school readiness, there is also plenty of time for fun!
